Overview

The Évolution-Compétences — Partnership for training and innovation grant provides funding up to 100% for innovative learning initiatives, supporting underrepresented groups in Red Seal trades. It focuses on training equipment investments and fostering innovative approaches to overcome learning barriers.

Financing terms and conditions

Eligibility

  • The applicant must hold a Quebec Enterprise Number (NEQ) to qualify as a promoter.
  • Eligible organizations for the "Investment in Red Seal Trades Training Equipment" call for projects include school service centers and English-language school boards, vocational training institutions, CEGEPs recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, and subsidized private educational institutions.
  • Eligible organizations for the "Innovation in Red Seal Trades Learning" call for projects include school service centers, English-language school boards, vocational training institutions, CEGEPs, subsidized private educational institutions, sector-based workforce committees, municipal administrations, Indigenous communities and band councils, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, employer associations, legally constituted worker associations, workforce parity committees, orderers with an approved training service, and Indigenous organizations working in employability and skills development.
  • Projects must address training programs leading to the practice of Red Seal designated trades in Quebec.
  • Projects must have a maximum duration of 12 months for "Investment in Training Equipment" and 24 months for "Innovation in Learning."

Who is eligible?

The Évolution-Compétences — Partnership for training and innovation grant under the sub-program "Investissement dans l’équipement de formation des métiers Sceau rouge" and "Innovation dans l’apprentissage des métiers désignés Sceau rouge" targets a wide range of eligible organizations in Quebec. These include school service centers, English school boards, recognized professional training institutions and CEGEPs by the Ministry of Higher Education, and subsidized private educational establishments. Additionally, sectoral workforce committees, municipal administrations, Indigenous communities and band councils, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, legally constituted employer associations, trade worker associations, joint committees formed under a decree, order issuers with an accredited training service, recognized mutual training organizations by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, and Indigenous organizations working in employability and skills development are eligible to apply. The program also welcomes applications for projects targeting underrepresented groups in the labor market such as women, Indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, newcomers, and visible minorities. Those involved in training, such as students, apprentices, or employed individuals, may participate in the projects.

  • The cost of training equipment for the "Investissement dans l’équipement de formation" sub-stream.
  • The salary of personnel involved in project implementation for the "Innovation dans l’apprentissage" sub-stream.

  • Applications deemed incomplete will not be analyzed and the applicant will be notified of missing elements.

  • The repayment of any overpaid amount can be made through several payment methods including bank transfer, cheque, post mandate, or credit card.
