This program provides non-repayable funding of up to $50,000 to support the digital development of tourism enterprises in the Eastern Townships. It finances the acquisition and implementation of business digital solutions that enhance client interactions, data management and organizational performance.

Activities funded

  • Implementation or optimization of digital business solutions to increase virtual or online interactions with clients while enhancing their experience.
  • Digital transformation projects that improve organizational efficiency and performance in tourism enterprises.
  • Projects integrating solutions for transactions, customer experience, data and revenue management, including interconnection of existing digital tools.

Documents Needed

  • Completed and signed application form submitted in Excel format.
  • Complete business plan for the project, including required permits and authorizations, where applicable.
  • Most recent financial statements for the last two years of the organization (with exceptions for start-ups, municipalities and Indigenous communities).
  • Three-year financial forecasts of the organization after project completion, when required.
  • Board resolution (or equivalent) authorizing the signatory and the funding application.

Eligibility

  • Be a legally constituted tourism enterprise, cooperative, non-profit, municipal entity, Indigenous community/nation or a grouping of these, doing business in Quebec or Canada.
  • For tourism accommodation establishments, comply with applicable laws and regulations and hold a valid registration number.
  • For nature and adventure tourism enterprises, comply with or commit to the Qualité-Sécurité Aventure Écotourisme Québec standards.
  • Have fulfilled obligations linked to any previous subsidy granted by the partners, where applicable.
  • Be compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française when subject to it.

  • Tourism businesses operating for profit.
  • Tourism non-profit organizations.
  • Tourism cooperatives.
  • Municipal entities involved in tourism development.
  • Indigenous communities, nations and Indigenous tourism enterprises.

Who is not eligible

  • Crown corporations and ministries or agencies of the governments of Quebec and Canada.
  • Applicants listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts.
  • Enterprises not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française when required.

Eligible expenses

  • Professional fees for support and implementation of digital solutions, including training of staff responsible for the digital project.
  • Purchase of technological or other equipment enabling use of the digital solution, including software, mobile applications, e-commerce platforms and integrated management systems.
  • First subscription (up to 24 months) to cloud services when the solution is offered as such.
  • Project-specific travel expenses, overheads, salaries and benefits directly tied to the implementation of the promoter’s digital project.
  • Net taxes (non-refundable portion) related to eligible project costs.

Eligible geographic areas

  • Tourism enterprises and eligible organizations doing business in Quebec, specifically within the Eastern Townships region.

Selection criteria

  • Alignment of the project with EPRTNT 25-27 objectives, including innovation, sustainable development and digital transformation.
  • Structural impact on the destination, such as attractiveness, tangible outcomes, partnerships, seasonality and productivity.
  • Strategic relevance regarding key products, market potential, competition, positioning and marketing strategy.
  • Quality of strategic management and feasibility, including governance, human and financial resources, planning and overall application quality.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Complete pre-admissibility form
    • Fill out the EPRTNT financial assistance pre-admissibility form available online.
    • Submit the form so Tourisme Cantons-de-l’Est can validate main eligibility elements.
  • Step 2: Receive full application form
    • After validation, receive by email the EPRTNT financial assistance application form adapted to the Numerical category.
  • Step 3: Prepare application package
    • Complete the Excel application form in full.
    • Compile all required supporting documents listed in the category fact sheet.
  • Step 4: Submit application
    • Send the completed Excel form and all required documents by email to eprtnt@atrce.com before the call deadline.

Processing and Agreement

  • Pre-admissibility forms are reviewed by Tourisme Cantons-de-l’Est to validate key eligibility elements before a full application form is issued.
  • Full applications are analyzed over several months, with support or refusal letters issued on set announcement dates.
  • A financial assistance agreement must be signed within six months, once all required confirmations and authorizations are obtained.
  • Projects may begin at application submission but are carried out at the applicant’s risk until an official decision is made.

Additional information

  • The program generally launches two calls for projects per year, typically around late October and March.
  • Projects can start at the time the application is submitted, at the applicant’s own risk.
  • Approved projects must be completed within 24 months following the funding announcement.
  • Incomplete applications are automatically rejected.
