Canada–Taiwan 2024-2025 collaborative industrial research and development call for proposals supports collaborative industrial R&D projects for organizations from Canada and Taiwan, with Canadian SME applicants and eligible Taiwanese partners, to foster commercialization. Who is eligible?
- Organizations from Canada and Taiwan who wish to form project consortia.
- Canadian small or medium-sized enterprise applicants that are incorporated, profit-oriented businesses in Canada.

Selection criteria
- Preference may be given to SME applicants with a minimum of 15 full-time equivalent employees, one or more commercialized products domestically or internationally, and greater than $500,000 CAD in annual revenue.
How to apply
- Register using the Register button at the bottom of the page.
- Submit an expression of interest form.
- Work with project partners to complete and submit the International Consortium Project Proposal package.
- After selection, complete the national funding body proposal and sign the funding agreement with the relevant national funding body.
Processing and Agreement
- NRC IRAP reviews registrations and contacts applicants if more information is required.
- EOI submissions are evaluated by the applicant's NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
- Canadian ICPP applications are evaluated by an NRC IRAP evaluation team including the applicant's NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office.
- After each national funding body evaluates the submitted applications, a final joint project selection is performed.
- Selected Canadian participants proceed to the final national funding body proposal and funding agreement stage.
- All eligible project partners then work independently to complete funding proposals and sign legally binding funding agreements with their respective national funding body.
