Canada-India 2020 collaborative industrial research and development call for proposals

• International Consortium Project Proposal (ICPP) form outlining the project consortium, collaborative project, expected outcomes, and funding request.
• Draft international consortium agreement covering the project management framework, financial plan, division of intellectual property rights, confidentiality and publication agreements, and liability clauses.

Who is eligible?

• Organizations from Canada and India that wish to form project consortia.
• Incorporated Canadian small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
• Eligible Indian commercial for-profit companies under the Indian Companies Act 1956/2013 that operate and are headquartered in India and are at least 51% owned by Indian citizens.

• Canadian applicants must register electronically by using the Register button and completing the online registration form.
• Canadian applicants must submit an expression of interest form during the expression of interest phase.
• All project partners must work together to complete and submit an International Consortium Project Proposal package to each implicated national funding body.
• Eligible project partners must complete funding proposals and sign legally binding funding agreements with their respective national funding body.

• NRC IRAP will review registrations and contact applicants if more information is required.
• Qualifying applicants will be invited to submit an expression of interest form.
• The applicant’s NRC IRAP representative and the NRC IRAP International Office will review applications.
• NRC IRAP will evaluate Canadian ICPP applications, and the amalgamated evaluation results will be shared between all implicated national funding bodies to jointly select the collaborative projects.
• Eligible project partners will work independently to complete funding proposals and sign legally binding funding agreements with their respective national funding body.
