Eligibility
Who is eligible?
This grant is designed for companies that operate as venues for the dissemination of professional music or variety shows in Quebec, meeting specific legal, operational, and structural criteria.
- Legally constituted for-profit or non-profit organizations with primary activities in disseminating professional music or variety shows.
- Organizations with headquarters and main establishments in Quebec, with majority control held by Quebec residents for tax purposes.
- Organizations operational for at least two years with relevant professional experience in show dissemination.
- Venues generating significant revenue from activities related to music and variety shows dissemination, excluding revenues solely from hall and service rental to show producers or promoters.
- Venues with a total capacity not exceeding 500 seats.
Who is not eligible
This grant excludes certain companies and professionals based on their main activity or financial support status. These restrictions ensure that the program supports venues directly engaged in the dissemination of professional performances.
- Venues receiving operational financial support from the Ministry of Culture and Communications of Quebec or the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ).
- Venues based entirely on renting space and equipment to producers or promoters.
- Venues with a total capacity exceeding 500 seats.
- Individual enterprises.
- Show promoters and external show programmers.
Eligible expenses
The grant covers specific expenses directly related to the programming, promotion, and diffusion of professional music and variety shows.
- Guaranteed fees to artists and producers (excluding box office revenue shares and other admission fees to producers).
- Salaries, charges, and fees related to programming activities.
- Salaries, charges, and fees to technicians and staff of the venue.
- Salaries, charges, and fees related to promotional activities.
- Promotion expenses such as advertising and marketing costs.
- Training expenses (limited to 20% of the eligible expenses).
- Other relevant and necessary expenses for conducting diffusion activities.

- The venues must have been operational for at least two years.
