Who is eligible?
- Legally constituted for-profit or non-profit performance venues.
- Businesses whose main activity is professional music or variety show dissemination.
- Businesses operating in Quebec.
Who is not eligible
- Venues already receiving operating support from the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications or the CALQ for dissemination activities.
- Venues whose programming is based only on room rental and diffusion services.
- Individual businesses.
- Show promoters and external programmers.
Eligible expenses
- Guaranteed fees to artists and producers
- Salaries, charges, and fees linked to programming, promotion, and venue technicians or artisans
- Promotion expenses, including advertising and marketing
- Training expenses up to 20% of eligible expenses
- Any other expense that is relevant and necessary to the diffusion activities

- Relevance of the last completed year’s programming to the program objectives
- Proportion of purchased music and variety shows and Québec emerging or developing artists programmed
- Financial precision and coherence, including eligible expenses and diffusion revenues
- Quality of equipment, infrastructure, and human resources dedicated to programming, diffusion, and promotion
How to apply
- Access the SOD@ccès portal and complete the main program form for program 30-44-00.
- Prepare the required documents before submission.
- Upload the form and required documents in SOD@ccès.
- Submit the application by the planned deposit dates.
- For file closure, complete the reporting stage in SOD@ccès after the end of the current year.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are evaluated comparatively by SODEC professionals.
- SODEC may call on external opinions if needed.
- Funding is conditional on the signing of a financial assistance agreement.
- SODEC may request any additional information, documents, or supporting evidence needed for processing and follow-up.
- The second portion of the subsidy requires the submission and acceptance of the final detailed programming and final cost report.
