Eligible expenses
- Expenses related to translation and surtitling, based on the standard translation rates in effect in your country
- For literary translations, up to 50% of the translator’s fee
- For literary translations, promotional expenses for the translated book: ads, posters and bookmarks, publicist fees, promotional items, and special events to promote the translated title
- For dramatic works and other performing arts work, up to 100% of the translator’s fee

Selection criteria
- Impact (50%): the potential of the project to develop and enhance the international profile of the work or author, and the potential of the project to generate future opportunities; minimum score required: 35/50
- Artistic (30%): the recognized quality of the work to be translated, and the artistic rationale and relevance of your project; minimum score required: 15/30
- Feasibility (20%): your experience and capacity to undertake the project, and the translator’s experience and capacity to undertake the project; minimum score required: 10/20
- Respectful and ethical cultural and artistic practices (RECAP): proper attention is paid to First Nations, Inuit or Métis cultural protocols, and cultural materials are treated in a respectful way, or there is no Indigenous content in the activities
