Eligibility
Who is eligible?
Non-profit organizations that have a non-profit registration number, a recognized executive committee, and $2 million liability insurance coverage are eligible to apply for financial assistance under the Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund. The project submissions must not be in default on any obligations to Innovation PEI to be reviewed.Who is not eligible

Eligible expenses
The Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund supports projects aimed at developing and promoting cultural experiences that enhance PEI’s Francophonie. These projects must have a significant Francophone aspect and contribute to attracting Francophone residents and visitors.
- Development and promotion of a cultural experience with a strong Francophone component.
- Marketing and promotion initiatives, including the creation of promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and ads.
- Organizing and promoting festivals and cultural activities that highlight Francophone culture.

How to apply
Confirm Eligibility
- Ensure your organization is a registered non-profit.
- Verify your executive committee is recognized.
- Confirm you have $2 million liability insurance coverage.
Prepare Your Project Proposal
- Draft a clear description of your proposed cultural experience or festival.
- Set objectives for how your project will reinforce and promote PEI’s Francophonie.
- Include a promotional plan for your event/activity.
- Prepare a detailed project budget.
Complete the Application
- Visit the grant application webpage and click the “Apply Now” button.
- Fill out the application form, ensuring to provide all background and project details.
Submit Supporting Documents
- Attach necessary documents such as organization background and project budget.
- Use the provided spreadsheet format for the budget if applicable.
Submit the Application
- Review all entered information for accuracy.
- Submit the completed application online before the deadline.
Confirmation and Follow-Up
- Receive confirmation of submission via email.
- Maintain a copy of the confirmation email for your records.
Additional information
Here are additional relevant details for this grant:
- 80% of the funds will be issued upon project approval, submission of required documents, and signing the funding agreement.
- The final 20% of the funds will be released after the approval of final reporting documents and receipt of the final invoice.
- A detailed project budget is required in the application.
- Final reports must be submitted within 45 days following the end of the project or by March 31st.
- Failure to resolve any defaults with Innovation PEI may result in an application not being reviewed.
- The Innovation PEI logo must be used on all promotional materials for the funded project.
- The financial contributions from other parties, including other government agencies and community partners, will be considered during application review.
