This program offers up to $20,000 in non-repayable funding to support regional festivals and events in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It targets projects that organize or enhance tourism events, stimulate visitor traffic, and foster sustainable, innovative tourism development.

- Organization and delivery of a festival or tourism event produced and held in Quebec
- Support to a specific aspect of a festival or event aimed at development and growth
Documents Needed
- Completed and signed application form in Excel format
- Upcoming event program or draft program and marketing action plan
- Most recent event report, if available
- Most recent financial statements and income-expense statement for the latest event
- Forecast income-expense budget for the upcoming event
- Confirmations from financial partners, if available
- Board or equivalent resolution authorizing the application signatory
- OQLF attestation or certification for eligible organizations employing 25 or more people
- Proof of compliance or commitment to Qualité-Sécurité standards for nature and adventure tourism companies
- Indigenous certificate or certification confirming Indigenous status, if applicable
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a legally constituted organization under Quebec or Canadian law.
- The organization must conduct business activities in Quebec.
- The project must be a festival or event held in Abitibi-Témiscamingue that attracts a significant number of visitors.
- Tourist accommodation operators must comply with applicable laws and hold a valid registration number.
- Nature and adventure tourism companies must comply with, or commit to, Qualité-Sécurité standards of Aventure Écotourisme Québec.

- Tourism cooperatives
- Municipal entities
- Recognized Indigenous communities, nations, and Indigenous tourism enterprises
- Groupings of the above eligible clienteles
Who is not eligible
- Quebec and Canadian state-owned enterprises, ministries, and government agencies
- Applicants listed in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts
- Companies not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française
Eligible expenses
- Administration costs related to the supported edition or specific development aspect
- Programming costs
- Promotion, marketing, and communication costs
- Site and facility management expenses
- Costs of products intended for resale
- Travel expenses within public sector rates, overhead, and salaries and benefits of the promoter’s staff linked to the event
- Audited in-kind sponsorships of goods and services, up to 50% of total eligible costs
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Costs for activities not related to organizing and holding the event
- Capital expenditures linked to acquiring equipment (depreciation)
- Working capital, debt service, operating losses, capital losses, and capital buybacks
- Costs for bringing assets up to standard, asset maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Recoverable portions of sales taxes and any refundable costs
- Unaudited in-kind or service contributions
- Asset transfers
- Routine maintenance expenses
- Financing costs and lobbyist remuneration
- Cost overruns, legal fees, and purchase of motorized transport equipment not dedicated to visitor experience
Eligible geographic areas
- Projects carried out in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec
- Applicant tourism business must be established in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and operate in Quebec
Selection criteria
- Alignment with the objectives of EPRTNT 2025-2027
- Structuring impact, including attraction power, reach, benefits, partnerships, job creation, and season extension
- Innovative character of the project
- Quality of concept, products, and services
- Financial structure and project financing plan
- Relevance to tourism clientele, diversification, market, competition, and marketing strategy
- Feasibility based on schedule, marketing strategy, business plan or study brief, and promoter expertise
- Integration of sustainable development principles
- Project carried out in Abitibi-Témiscamingue with the applicant established in the region

- Complete the EPRTNT 2025-2027 financial assistance application form for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region in Excel format.
- Gather all required supporting documents listed for the program.
- Step 2: Submit Application
- Send the completed form and required documents by email to the address indicated (eprtnt@atrat.org).
- Ensure submission before the specified deadlines for festivals and events.

- Financial support is provided as a non-repayable contribution.
- Application deadlines for festivals and events are January 20, 2026, and October 13, 2026, at 3 p.m.
- Assessment of applications considers the overall sustainable development approach of the project.
- Organizations employing 25 or more people for six months must comply with Quebec’s francization requirements.
