Overview of the Advisory Services Program — Component 2 – Support for the dissemination of information and business co-development activities program
The Advisory Services Program – Component 2 provides financial support for activities promoting the dissemination of information and business co-development in the agricultural and agri-food sectors; eligible projects include public awareness, information sharing, demonstration activities, and co-development initiatives among enterprises. The program aims to increase the adoption of best entrepreneurial practices, with applications accepted until December 15, 2027; the maximum funding amount is not specified.
Financing terms and conditions
- Non-repayable contribution covering up to 75 % of eligible expenses.
- Maximum of $5,000 per activity for public awareness, information dissemination, and demonstration activities.
- Maximum amount of $9,500 for repeated activities during the same year.
- For co-development activities, assistance capped at $1,000 per meeting, with a maximum of $5,000 for all meetings during the program duration.
- Payment made after the activity is held upon presentation of compliant supporting documents.

Eligibility criteria of the Advisory Services Program — Component 2 – Support for the dissemination of information and business co-development activities program
- The applicant must be a registered information provider with the Advisory Services Coordination, an Agriconseils network, a non-profit organization active in the agricultural or agri-food sectors, or an educational institution.
- The project must involve public awareness, information dissemination, demonstration activities aimed at agricultural and agri-food businesses, or business co-development activities sharing expertise among expert producers.
- The activities must relate to at least one of these areas: crop and livestock practices, management, management support, processing, agrotourism, or marketing.
Who is eligible?
- Registered service providers with the Coordination services-conseils
- Agriconseils networks
- Non-profit organizations operating in the agricultural and agri-food sectors
- Educational institutions
Who is not eligible
- Ministries, budgetary organizations, and state-owned enterprises, as well as companies directly or indirectly controlled by a government or a state-owned enterprise, and municipal entities.
- Financial cooperatives and banking institutions.
- Companies that do not meet the requirements of the Charter of the French Language or are listed on the list of companies non-compliant with the francization process.
- Companies placed under the protection of bankruptcy laws or registered in the Register of Non-Eligible Businesses for Public Contracts (RENA).
- Organizations that defaulted on their obligations during a previous financial aid in the last two years.
Eligible expenses
- Remuneration of the applicant's staff and professional fees of partners (experts, speakers).
- Travel expenses of the applicant and partners according to applicable government rates.
- Rental of rooms, land, buildings, equipment or tools.
- Rental or purchase of equipment required for the activities.
- Expenses related to communications, advertising, and dissemination of information.
- Administrative expenses not exceeding 15% of the total eligible expenses listed (except for Agriconseils networks).

- Collective scope of the project.
- Quality of the proposed approach.
- Expected impacts on the quality or offering of consulting services.

How to apply to the Advisory Services Program — Component 2 – Support for the dissemination of information and business co-development activities program

Verify eligibility requirements

Prepare application documents
- Obtain and complete the financial assistance application form
- Provide a preliminary or final version of the program and itinerary if applicable
- Prepare all required supporting documents as indicated by the program

Submit application to Agriconseils network
- Submit the completed application form and required documents to the Agriconseils network for the region of the activity or to the Ministry if the network is the applicant
- Ensure the application is submitted at least 30 business days before the activity and by February 15 each year (no later than December 15, 2027)

Receive acknowledgment of receipt
- Receive an acknowledgment of receipt or eligibility confirmation via mail or email
- Note that this acknowledgment does not guarantee funding

Receive funding decision and follow-up
- Wait for the decision letter from the Agriconseils network or Ministry
- If approved, follow the instructions for deliverables and supporting documents for payment
Additional information
- The application form can be obtained from the Agriconseils networks and must be submitted at least 30 working days before the activity.
- A receipt is sent after the submission of the application, but it does not constitute a guarantee of funding.
- The required supporting documents for the disbursement of aid must comply with accounting rules and be consistent with authorized expenses.
