- Vehicle retrofits or modifications, including cars, vans, and buses
- Renovation or retrofit of private homes or dwellings
- Construction or work focused only on aesthetics or embellishment
- Costs incurred before the agreement is signed
- General operating, staffing, legal, or training costs

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first screened for eligibility and completeness
- Eligible projects are assessed against program objectives and other selection factors
- Applicants are informed of the decision; approvals are issued by ESDC
- Successful applicants must sign a funding agreement before starting work

- Projects must begin only after approval and a signed agreement.
- If approved, Quebec public bodies may need provincial authorization before signing.
- Funding decisions are final and there is no appeal process.
