- Develop and implement medium to long-term plans to address needs related to recovering, and/or building capacity, resilience, and sustainability.
- Provide supports to staff and volunteers to adapt to organizational changes related to recovery and building resilience
- Adapt or add-new program and service delivery to meet the changing needs of the community
- Expand previously adapted programs and services to meet the changing needs of the community
- Meet public health guidelines, safely deliver programs and services, and/or prepare for future disruptions through the purchase of necessary equipment and/or technological infrastructure

Eligibility
Who is eligible?
Eligible applicants for the Resilient Communities Fund grant include charitable organizations or foundations registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, and organizations incorporated as not-for-profit corporations without share capital in a Canadian jurisdiction. Indigenous communities like First Nations, Chartered Community Councils operating under the Métis Nation of Ontario, and Inuit organizations are also eligible.

Eligible expenses
Eligible expenses for the Resilient Communities Fund grant include direct personnel costs, direct non-personnel costs (such as purchased services, supplies, and evaluation), and overhead and administration costs directly associated with the funded project. The grant also covers non-fixed equipment and technological infrastructure costs.

- Fundraising costs and ongoing fundraising or marketing expenses.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by OTF staff for eligibility and completeness.
- Projects are assessed against the program’s project assessment criteria.
- Local Grant Review Team volunteers make funding recommendations, and the Board of Directors approves them.
- Successful applicants receive an email with the OTF contract and must sign and return it electronically.
- The first payment is released after the contract is signed and banking information is confirmed in the online portal.
