Eligible expenses

  • Event registration and booth or exhibitor fees
  • Travel, accommodation, and per diem costs for eligible in-person activities
  • Marketing materials created specifically for the activity

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Staff and operations costs
  • Hospitality, entertainment, and business card printing
  • Communications costs such as mobile phone and long-distance fees
  • Costs for ineligible representatives or extra participants above the program cap
  • Expenses already covered by another funder or another Ontario Creates program for the same activity

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed and evaluated by Ontario Creates staff
  • Only competitive applications that best meet program requirements are approved
  • Decisions are communicated within fourteen weeks of the deadline
  • Successful applicants must sign an Ontario Creates agreement before funding is released
  • Reports are required during and after the program, including interim, final, and follow-up reports
