  • Affiliated companies where more than one related entity applies
  • Publications that function mainly as in-house, promotional, or non-magazine publications

  • Marketing and promotion costs
  • Business development costs and consulting fees
  • Strategic business travel and conference attendance
  • Website redesign, digital format development, and online marketing
  • Project-related capital items, direct communications, paper, courier, and similar expenses

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Ongoing operational costs
  • Expenses already incurred for work already underway
  • Salaries and wages not directly related to the project
  • Staff benefit costs
  • Fixed overhead and occupancy costs
  • Hospitality

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed for eligibility and completeness
  • Eligible applications are assessed by Ontario Creates and an industry jury
  • Funding recommendations are made after jury review
  • Successful applicants are notified and must sign a funding agreement before payment
  • Interim and final reports are required from successful applicants
