Description of the Grant and Eligible Projects
The grant program aims to fund projects that optimize, expand, or establish structured reuse networks, start new facilities, increase the capacity of existing facilities, or improve the quality of materials produced, aligning with buyer needs. Eligible projects must fall under these categories as outlined in the program's regulatory framework.
Demandeurs admissibles. Any company or organization involved in or intending to engage in the reuse, packaging, or recycling of beverage containers is eligible. Applicants must be legally established and have a business location in Quebec.
Selection Criteria. Project evaluation will be based on relevance, problem-solution alignment, objectives, viability of supplies and markets, project team expertise, quality, costs justification, monitoring methodology, financial viability, and more. Financial Assistance and Deadlines. Approved projects can receive financial aid based on project types (conditioning, conditioning & recycling, or reuse) with a maximum amount, percentage of eligible expenses, and a completion time of 18 months.
To Apply. Applicants must ensure project eligibility by consulting the regulatory framework, fill out the application form and calculator, and submit all required documents via email. Paper submissions are discouraged, with acknowledgment of receipt provided within 5 business days, and eligibility confirmation within 20 business days.
Application Deadlines. The program will remain open as long as funds are available or until February 28, 2025. Mandatory Certification. All financial aid applicants must be certified in the "ICI on recycle+" recognition program, ensuring compliance with eco-conditions for receiving the final funding. A sample resolution model is provided for self-funding contributors.
Accepted Projects List. A few accepted projects under the program include optical glass sorting, new container washing installations, enhanced cardboard recycling, and increased processing capacity in existing facilities.
