    • If eligible, receive the full CIP application form.
  • Step 3: Prepare Full Application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Gather required quotes, images, drawings, and any other incentive-specific documents.
  • Step 4: Submit for Review
    • Submit the full and complete application during the designated intake period.
    • City staff review the application and arrange a meeting with the Review and Evaluation Committee if needed.
  • Step 5: Receive Decision and Proceed
    • Wait for the final decision from City staff.
    • If approved, begin the project only after official approval.
  • Step 6: Complete Inspection and Payment
    • Finish the project and book a Building Department inspection.
    • Once approved after inspection, receive the grant by cheque or pick it up at City Hall.

Processing and Agreement

  • Intent to Apply is reviewed internally for basic eligibility.
  • Eligible applicants receive the full application for submission.
  • Applications are reviewed by City staff and the Review and Evaluation Committee.
  • The final decision is issued within four weeks of the submission deadline.
  • Approved projects can start only after official approval, and payment is released after completion and inspection.

Additional information

  • Only one successful application per program per property is allowed during the five-year plan period.
  • The program can be stacked with other CIP incentives, except for the Tax Increment Equivalent Grant.
  • Projects must be fully completed and inspected before payment is issued.
  • Funding is issued by cheque or can be picked up at City Hall.
