Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Business owners

  • Commercial tourism operators in the City of Quinte West

Who is not eligible

  • Residential properties
  • Applicants with property tax arrears
  • Applicants in default of a City by-law
  • Applicants involved in ongoing litigation with the City
  • Projects that have already started before approval

How to apply

  • Complete the Intent to Apply form during an intake period.
  • Once the form has been completed, eligible parties will be provided with the full CIP application.
  • Complete and submit the full and complete CIP application with the required documentation during the designated intake period.

Processing and Agreement

  • Intent to Apply form is reviewed first to confirm basic eligibility
  • Eligible applicants receive the full application package
  • City staff review the full application and meet with the applicant
  • Final decisions are communicated within four weeks of the submission deadline
  • Approved projects can begin only after official approval and are paid after completion and inspection

Additional information

  • Applications are reviewed by the Review and Evaluation Committee.
  • Support is not provided retroactively for work started before approval.
  • One successful application per program per property is allowed during the plan’s five-year life.
  • Funding is issued after project completion and inspection.
