How to apply

  • Step 1: Submit Intent to Apply
    • Complete the Intent to Apply form during an intake period.
    • Provide applicant information and a general description of the proposed project.
  • Step 2: Receive application package
    • Wait for the internal review of the Intent to Apply form.
    • If eligible, receive the full CIP application form and requirements.
  • Step 3: Prepare full application
    • Complete the application form.
    • Collect the required quotes, images, drawings, and any other supporting documents.
  • Step 4: Submit full application
    • Submit the full and complete CIP application during the designated intake period.
  • Step 5: Complete approved work and inspection
    • Start work only after official approval.
    • Book a Building Department inspection after project completion.

Processing and Agreement

  • Intent to Apply is reviewed internally to determine basic eligibility
  • Eligible applicants receive the full application form and required documentation list
  • Applications are reviewed by City staff and the Review and Evaluation Committee
  • Applicants are informed of the final decision within four weeks of the submission deadline
  • Approved projects may start after official approval, and payment is issued after completion and inspection

Additional information

  • Applications are reviewed by the Review and Evaluation Committee.
  • The program allows stacking incentives, except for the Tax Increment Equivalent Grant.
  • Only one successful application per program is allowed per property during the plan’s five-year life.
  • Work started before official approval is not eligible for funding.
