Documents Needed
- A presentation document using the required template: maximum 6 pages for Strategic support or maximum 11 pages for Project funding
- A letter of commitment from management or the board of directors confirming budget availability and internal project responsibility
- For a collective project, a letter of commitment from each stakeholder describing its roles and responsibilities
- A declaration of non-conflict of interest with the selected supplier, if applicable, MT Lab team members, and MT Lab board members

Who is eligible?
- Companies or organizations operating in Quebec’s tourism industry
- Innovative Quebec tourism businesses
- Regional tourism associations (ATR) and sectoral tourism associations (ATS)
- Startups that have been operating for more than one year when they are implementing an innovative project within their own organization
Who is not eligible
- Crown corporations
- Ministries
- Government bodies of Quebec or Canada
- Companies in a conflict or appearance of conflict of interest directly linked to MT Lab employees or MT Lab board members
- A company seeking funding again through an MT Lab program supported by the Ministère du Tourisme for a similar project
Eligible expenses
- Consulting firm fees for strategic project development support under the strategic support component
- Fees attached to a platform subscription for the project, within the program’s eligible expense period
Selection criteria
- Response to the identified priority themes: improving productivity, competitiveness or efficiency of tourism businesses; addressing labour shortages; reducing the environmental footprint of tourism activity; digital shift; and responsible and sustainable tourism issues
- The level of risk that implementing the project represents for the organization
- The novelty of the processes, methods, products, or services that the project represents for the organization
- The project’s potential benefits for the sector of activity or for the region
- Whether the proposed project aims to increase the company’s productivity
How to apply
- Complete the Applicant Form.
- Attach the required presentation document for the selected component.
- Attach the letter of commitment from management or the board of directors; for a collective project, attach a letter from each stakeholder stating its roles and responsibilities.
- Attach the declaration of non-conflict of interest.
Processing and Agreement
- Submitted files are analyzed by the Comité de sélection.
- The winners are announced in August 2025.
Additional information
- Under the strategic support component, the applicant may choose an expert from MT Lab’s bank of experts or another expert of its choice.
- There is no restriction on choosing a supplier located outside Canada.
- A project developed through the strategic support component may be submitted in the same year to the project funding component, but a separate file must be submitted for the second component.
