Participant Funding Program - Darlington Nuclear Generating Station Licence Renewal

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Participant Funding Program supports individuals, Indigenous groups and not-for-profit organizations participating in CNSC processes for specific projects or matters of regulatory interest. Eligible support can cover professional fees, travel, administrative costs, and related engagement work such as meetings, studies and interventions.

• Project-specific PFP application form
• Additional documentation, such as résumés or work experience documentation, if required
• Consent letter, along with the professional’s CV or other work experience documentation, if hiring a professional

• Completeness of each application
• Relevance of each application
• Total amount of PFP funding available for each project-specific funding opportunity
• Eligibility of the proposed activities

• Open the application form for the funding opportunity
• Complete the form and follow the instructions in the form and the Participant Funding Program guide
• Submit the signed application as described in the guide

• The PFP Administrator conducts a preliminary review to verify accuracy and determine if additional information is required.
• The FRC conducts an initial assessment using a standard set of assessment criteria and makes recommendations to the CNSC.
• The PFP Administrator notifies all applicants of the CNSC’s decision by email or mail.
• Successful applicants receive a contribution agreement.
• The CNSC disburses funding only when a recipient has met its agreement objectives and submitted a final financial report.
