Selection criteria

  • Funding is distributed among accepted applications based on the intrinsic value of each proposal.

How to apply

  • Open the application form for the funding opportunity.
  • Complete the form and follow the instructions in the form and the Participant Funding Program guide.
  • Submit the signed application by email, mail, or fax as described in the guide.

Processing and Agreement

  • A Funding Review Committee independent of the CNSC will consider all applications for funding and make recommendations on the allocation of funds.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome within 45 business days of the application closing date, or if there is no closing date, following receipt of a funding application.
  • Successful applicants receive a contribution agreement.
  • Funding is paid after recipients meet the objectives in their contribution agreement and submit a final financial report.
  • Payment is made within 30 days of receipt of a valid final financial report.

Additional information

  • Applications must focus exclusively on Cameco’s proposed licence renewal or amendment for the Beaverlodge Project.
  • A contribution agreement must be signed by successful applicants before funding is paid.
  • Funding applicants are notified of the outcome of their request.
