Processing and Agreement

  • The application is reviewed by an independent funding review committee.
  • The committee makes recommendations on the allocation of funds.
  • Applicants are informed of the funding decision within 45 business days after the closing date, or after receipt if there is no closing date.
  • If approved, a signed contribution agreement is required before payment.
  • Recipients must submit the agreed deliverable and a final financial report before the balance is paid.

  • The CNSC may publish the recipient’s name, the funding amount, and the type of activities funded.
  • Information submitted for the project may become part of the public record.
  • Recipients must keep receipts for at least three years after funding is received.
  • All documents submitted must be in English or French, or include a translation and translator affidavit.
