  • Honoraria for chiefs or elders, or holders of Indigenous traditional knowledge or community knowledge.

  • General operations and maintenance.

How to apply

  • Open the application form for the funding opportunity.
  • Complete the form and follow the instructions in the form and the Participant Funding Program guide.
  • Submit the signed application as described in the guide.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by a Funding Review Committee.
  • Applicants receive a funding decision, and approved recipients sign a contribution agreement.
  • Applicants are informed of the outcome within 45 business days of the application closing date, or after receipt if there is no closing date.
  • Funding is paid after recipients meet the objectives in their contribution agreement and submit a final financial report.
  • Payment is made within 30 days of receipt of a valid final financial report.
