Overview of the MRC Les Etchemins — Business support policy program
The grant offers non-repayable contributions for private enterprises and social economy enterprises to support startup, succession, expansion, and pre-startup research projects, with a maximum funding of 25% of the project cost for private enterprises and up to $25,000 for nonprofit organizations. Eligible activities include the acquisition of capital and technology, consultancy fees, and project-related working capital.
Financing terms and conditions
- Non-repayable contribution covering up to 25% of the project cost for private companies.
- Non-repayable contribution covering up to 50% of the project cost for non-profit organizations, with a maximum of $25,000 per project.
- For pre-startup studies and research, funding of up to $5,000 is available, provided no other program applies.
- A non-refundable application fee of $150 is required.

Eligibility criteria of the MRC Les Etchemins — Business support policy program
- The applicant must be a private enterprise (sole proprietorship, corporation, or general partnership) or a social economy enterprise with at least 20% self-generated revenue (non-profit organization or cooperative).
- Eligible projects include business start-up, business succession, expansion, or pre-startup studies to validate business ideas (if not eligible under other programs).

Eligibility Check
- Verify that your company or organization meets the eligibility criteria.
- Ensure that the proposed project is among the eligible projects such as startup, succession, or expansion.

Preparation of the request
- Write a detailed project proposal including a description of the objectives and the budget.
- Calculate the financial aid requested based on the project cost and the applicable percentage.
- Required documents: prepare all necessary documents related to your company and the project.

Deposit fee payment
Pay the application fee of $150.

- Compile all the required documents into a complete folder.

- Wait for a confirmation of receipt from the organization after submitting the request.
- Be available to provide additional information if necessary.
Additional information
- An application processing fee of $150 is required.
- Feasibility and pre-startup research projects have a maximum funding limit of $5,000, provided no other applicable programs exist.
