- A completed and signed application form
- A detailed project description and any additional pages required
- Photographs of the existing condition of the buildings and/or property, and design drawings, sketches, renderings, or elevation drawings illustrating the proposed improvements
- Two detailed independent contractor estimates for each component of the proposed eligible work, or two estimates covering all components of the eligible work
- Authorization of Registered Owner(s) form, if the applicant is not the property owner

- Tree planting, maintaining and caring for existing trees on private lands; improvements to existing buildings to meet Licensed Home Child Care Provider requirements; and application fees required by the Town

- Designated Community Improvement Project Area (CIPA)
- Flooding-affected areas identified in the Harriston Flood Mitigation Plan, for flood risk reduction projects
Selection criteria
- The Town may refuse applications if project feasibility is limited.
How to apply
- Review the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) for the relevant grant program and confirm whether it applies to your property and proposed work.
- Complete the application form and submit a complete application package with the required supporting documents to belinda@town.minto.on.ca.
- If the applicant is not the registered property owner, complete the Authorization of Registered Owner(s) form (Appendix A).
Processing and Agreement
- Approval is fully at the discretion of the Council of the Town, and the Town may refuse the application if project feasibility is limited.
- If any declared matters are incomplete or untrue, the applicant is no longer eligible, the application is terminated, and no monies are advanced.
- The application and supporting material become a Town record, and the information may become part of the public record; MFIPPA applies.
- The Town may enter the Subject Property to review and monitor the project and may conduct credit rating checks.
- Grant payment is made only to the applicant and is subject to Council approval, execution of the agreement, continued ownership or tenancy, and completion of the approved project.
