Eligibility for employer participation in Rupertsland Institute programs is based on specific requirements to ensure support for Métis employment.
  • The employer must be willing to provide career-related work experience to Métis individuals.
  • The employer is required to provide part of the wages and can receive a subsidy of up to 50% from Rupertsland Institute.
  • For the Youth Summer Employment program, the employer must employ Métis youth aged 15-30 and offer positions that support returning to school in the fall.
  • Not-for-profit organizations participating in the Youth Summer Employment program may receive wage reimbursement up to 100% of the provincial minimum wage.
