The Returnable Container Recycling Equipment Modernization Program is a financial aid program in Quebec initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Fight against Climate Change. Eligibility
- Applicants must be retailers.
- Retailers must manage, on average, a minimal monthly volume of 5,000 returnable containers per machine.
- Retailers must intend to replace or add automated recovery equipment for returnable containers.
- The added or replaced equipment must be accessible to manage larger volumes of containers.
- Financing is permitted for acquiring and replacing multiple pieces of equipment per address, provided the minimum recovery volume requirement is met.
- Modular equipment may receive subsidies for each module within the equipment.

How to apply

Presentation of a financial aid request
- Complete the application form for a single address or for multiple addresses.
- Attach a submission from a supplier with the details of the chosen equipment signed by the retailer.
- Include Appendix A titled "Pickup Agreement" signed by the retailer and the collector(s).
- Include Appendix B titled "Data Collection Sharing Agreement" signed.
- Provide proof of address and a photo for any equipment installed off-site.
- Send the form and documents to the address gobeuse@faqdd.qc.ca.

Analysis of the admissibility of the request
- Wait for the confirmation of the acceptance of the request with the validation of the granted amount.
- Receive the identification number of the request.
- Do not proceed with a payment or an installation before receiving this confirmation.

Installation of the new equipment
- Install the new equipment after receiving confirmation.
- Send the following supporting documents to the address gobeuse@faqdd.qc.ca:
- The work order from the equipment supplier.
- The proof of payment from the retailer.
- The proof of removal of the old device for replacement.
- One or more photos of the complete installation.
- Your check specimen.

Wait for the validation of the supporting documents by the FAQDD and the disbursement of the financial aid.
