This program provides funding to support initiatives that strengthen financial well-being in communities where Libro has a business presence. It supports projects focused on business creation and growth, employment, and financial literacy, with funding offered as one-time contributions or multi-year partnership agreements.
Activities funded
- Initiatives supporting entrepreneurs to start or scale businesses (business creation and growth).
- Programs helping individuals achieve meaningful work and overcome barriers to employment.
- Programs improving financial literacy, awareness, and financial decision-making for individuals or businesses.
Examples of admissible projects:

- The initiative must strengthen the financial well-being of individuals and/or businesses.
- The initiative must have outcomes connected to business creation and growth, employment, or financial literacy.
- The initiative must benefit communities where Libro has a business presence.

Selection criteria
How to apply
Step 1: Prepare your initiative information
- Define how the initiative strengthens financial well-being for individuals and/or businesses.
- Identify which outcome area(s) the initiative supports: business creation and growth, employment, and/or financial literacy.
- Confirm the initiative benefits communities where Libro has a business presence (Southwestern Ontario).
- Apply using the same application link for Community Grants and Impact Partnerships.
- Submit by the 15th to be considered in the next review month (February, May, August, or November).
- Expect decisions to be communicated in March, June, September, or December (depending on the review cycle).
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed four times a year (February, May, August, and November).
- Applications must be submitted by the 15th to be considered for that review month.
- Funding decisions are communicated in March, June, September, and December.
