Eligibility

Eligibility for the Get Youth Working! Program is determined by specific requirements related to the employer's business and the proposed employment position.

  • The business must have been in operation for at least one year.
  • The business must be in good standing with WorkSafeBC.
  • The position must employ youth aged 16 to 29 for a minimum of 3 months, with preference given to positions lasting over 6 months (non-seasonal employment).
  • The employer will not qualify if the employee is hired prior to signing the Get Youth Working Funding Agreement with Bowman Employment Services Inc.

Who is eligible?

Employers in British Columbia, Canada can apply for the Get Youth Working! Program. To be eligible, employers must have been operating for at least one year, be in good standing with WorkSafeBC, and offer employment opportunities for youth aged 16 to 29. The employment should last a minimum of three months, with preference given to positions longer than six months that are non-seasonal. Employers must not have hired the youth prior to signing the funding agreement with Bowman Employment Services Inc.

Sign Funding Agreement

  • If approved, enter into a Get Youth Working Funding Agreement with Bowman Employment Services Inc.

Complete Work Experience

Employ the youth for at least three months, with preference for long-term positions over six months.

Receive Wage Subsidy
