Who is eligible?

  • Projects exclusively focused on recycling

Selection criteria

  • Preference may be given to SME applicants that have a minimum of 15 full-time equivalent employees located in Canada.
  • Preference may be given to SME applicants that have commercialised one or more products internationally.
  • Preference may be given to SME applicants that have more than $500,000 CAD in annual sales revenue.
  • If one or more criteria are unmet, a strong rationale must be provided in the Expression of Interest (EOI) form for possible consideration.

How to apply

  • Register electronically using the S'inscrire button at the bottom of the page
  • Submit the Declaration of Interest form and basic information about the applicant and collaborative project
  • Work with project partners to prepare and submit the Eureka project participation form and supporting documents
  • Prepare the funding proposal to the national funding body and, if approved, sign the funding agreement

Processing and Agreement

  • Declarations of interest are evaluated as soon as they are received by an NRC IRAP evaluation team
  • Eligible Canadian SMEs are invited to submit a detailed International Consortium Project Proposal with their partners
  • Each national funding body evaluates applications independently, and once those evaluations are complete, a joint project selection process is carried out
  • Successful projects move to the national funding proposal stage and, if approved, to the funding agreement stage

  • Canadian SME applicants may apply to more than one NRC IRAP call for proposals simultaneously.
