Who is eligible?

  • Collaboratives led by an incorporated not-for-profit organization.
  • Collaboratives led by a grassroots group.

Who is not eligible

  • Individuals.
  • For-profit organizations.
  • Organizations acting in the capacity of a funding body.
  • Organizations affiliated with a political party or that have a political mandate.

Eligible expenses

  • Administrative and operational costs.
  • Community engagement costs.
  • Evaluation and knowledge dissemination costs.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • COVID-19-related organizational expenses already supported through other Region of Peel funds.
  • Project costs related to prior CIP Collaboration Fund or Change Fund initiatives.
  • Staff positions.

  • Demonstrated need.
  • Financial sustainability.
  • Alignment with sector and Regional priorities.
  • Organizational health.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Register in GovGrants
    • Create access to the GovGrants platform.
    • Complete the Registration process and Service Provider Profile.
  • Step 2: Prepare application materials
    • Complete the application form and budget request.
    • Prepare the project workplan template.
    • Gather required financial and supporting documents.
  • Step 3: Submit through GovGrants
    • Upload all required documents in the correct tabs.
    • Submit the application through GovGrants before the deadline.
  • Step 4: Wait for decision
    • Applicants were notified of approval or decline after submission.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications that met eligibility were reviewed by a Fund Review Committee.
  • Applications were assessed against demonstrated need, financial sustainability, alignment with priorities, organizational health, and program directives.
  • Applicants were notified if their application was approved or declined.
  • Funding was subject to a funding agreement and reporting requirements.
