Grant and Funding Programs Offered by CMTN Foundation (CMTN)

The CMTN Foundation is the official charitable foundation of Coast Mountain College. Its core mandate is to grow and steward financial resources that strengthen the college and open doors to post-secondary education for students from the surrounding northern communities. Working closely with donors, alumni, and institutional partners, the Foundation channels private and community support into tangible educational opportunities.

The Foundation focuses on student-centred financial support. It administers and promotes a portfolio of scholarships, awards and bursaries that help cover tuition, fees, supplies and related study costs. In partnership with the college’s Financial Aid department, it also contributes to emergency financial assistance so students facing unexpected hardship can stay enrolled and continue their studies.

Through initiatives such as entrance awards for new learners and highlighted opportunities like the Northern Learner Entrance Award, the Foundation supports high-achieving and motivated students as they transition from high school into college programs. These awards can include both tuition support and housing supplements, easing overall cost-of-living pressures while studying.

The CMTN Foundation serves current and prospective Coast Mountain College students across multiple campuses and communities in the north. By investing in learners’ potential, it aims to benefit not only individual students but also the broader region, supplying skilled graduates in trades, health, business, arts, sciences and other fields offered by the college.

Donor recognition is a key part of the Foundation’s activities.
