Who is eligible?

  • Young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29.
  • Businesses based in Manitoba.
  • New businesses or businesses started within the last 12 months.

Who is not eligible

  • Existing business expansions.
  • Businesses that do not provide at least the provincial minimum wage.
  • Applicants already receiving another federal or provincial grant.
  • Applicants who have already received this grant.
  • Purchases of regulated professional service businesses in Manitoba.

Eligible expenses

  • License fees, space rental, telephone installation, and utilities.
  • Office supplies, equipment rental, and business travel costs.
  • Inventory costs, up to 50% of the expense.
  • Land, buildings, office equipment, and other significant fixtures.

  • Businesses that cannot provide at least the provincial minimum wage.
  • Businesses that have received the grant before.
  • Purchases of businesses providing regulated professional services in self-governing categories.
