Halton subsidy forms updated
Halton’s Enhanced Basement Flooding Prevention Subsidy application form and waiver form were substantially rewritten. The application now makes Weeping Tile Disconnection and Sump Pump Installation the lead section, changes the property wording to “the Property,” and shows the 100% subsidy up to a maximum of $6,500 for that work, while the form also now displays 311 and halton.ca as contact references. Eligibility and submission requirements were tightened and expanded, including location and wastewater-service conditions, a one-time-per-property limitation, and a much more detailed document checklist with permit, final inspection, invoice, photos, CCTV, dye-test, sketch, survey, and waiver-related material. The waiver text was also reworked to add broader release and compliance language tied to the Household Drainage Survey/program and to remove the earlier property-sale or lease notification clause.
