Basement Flooding Subsidy Form and Lateral Program Updated
The Enhanced Basement Flooding Prevention Subsidy Program application form now shows the wastewater lateral lining and repair subsidy, with eligibility tied to proof from a Household Drainage Survey or a plumber/drainage assessment and applications submitted within one year after the work is completed. The form also expands required documentation, adds updated permit and inspection proof, and keeps the repair subsidy at 50% up to a maximum of $4,000, while work completed after July 15, 2024 remains eligible for the higher maximum. The related subsidy page was also refreshed with new Homeowner Guide and Contractor Guide links, a disclaimer about homeowner, contractor, and municipal roles, and revised Dropbox submission wording that still uses basementfloodingsubsidy@halton.ca. The program support content continues to show the same funding amounts of 100% up to $6,500 for certain projects, 100% up to $900 for downspout disconnection, 50% up to $1,600 for the backwater valve subsidy, and
