Who is eligible?

  • Ontario wineries
  • Sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships, and unincorporated associations
  • Licensed wineries
  • Corporations with controlling interest in affiliated licensed wineries

Who is not eligible

  • Non-licensed wineries
  • Businesses without VQA wine sales in Ontario
  • More than one affiliated licensed winery from the same group in the same funding year

Processing and Agreement

  • Agricorp reviews the completed application for eligibility and program compliance.
  • Incomplete applications may be found ineligible.
  • For later quarterly payments, Agricorp may request an attestation to confirm eligibility has not changed.
  • If approved, the applicant becomes a recipient and receives quarterly grant payments.
  • Agricorp, OMAFA, or their representatives may audit or investigate eligibility and payments.

  • Only one affiliated licensed winery may apply per funding year.
  • The program is discretionary and funding is not guaranteed.
  • Agricorp may audit applications and recipients.
