  • Used equipment and technology upgrades

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Equipment installation or servicing
  • Rolling stock and general transportation vehicles
  • Inventory, labour, consumables, and software
  • Rented or leased equipment
  • Land or building purchases, land clearing, HST, gifts, and incentives
  • Ongoing operating costs and compliance-only costs

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the SNAPP Review Committee.
  • Applicants may be contacted for additional information or missing documents.
  • Successful applicants are notified after review and FedNor approval.
  • A signed agreement with SSMIC is required before funding is released.
  • Rejected applicants receive a decision notice and may appeal procedural errors in writing within 30 days.

  • Intake 3 is open from November 4, 2024 to January 10, 2025.
  • Applicants are encouraged to contact a regional representative before submitting.
  • Approved recipients must use SNAPP/FedNor acknowledgement materials in promotional content.
  • Previous successful SNAPP applicants may apply again if prior projects are completed and closed.
