Sustainable Development Support Program for Mining Sector Companies — Stream C

Who is eligible?

• Horticultural peat moss exploitation companies registered in Quebec with at least one establishment located in Quebec

Eligible expenses

• Professional fees for the external auditor conducting the Veriflora® certification audit.
• Travel expenses for the external auditor, subject to the current public service rates of Quebec.

Eligible geographic areas

• Quebec, Canada

• The grant is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the program budget is exhausted.
• The grant amount is the lesser of $20,000 or 75% of eligible project expenses, and the recipient must cover the remaining costs.
• The beneficiary agrees to acknowledge the financial support from the Quebec government in all related publications and communications, and share a copy with the MRNF.
• The recipient must inform the MRNF of any additional financial assistance received for the project.
• The program is set to end on March 31, 2026, or when the allocated budget is fully committed, whichever occurs first.
• The MRNF reserves the right to demand repayment of the grant if the beneficiary fails to comply with program obligations or provides misleading information.
• All project-related documents must be retained for five years after project completion or until all claims are settled.
