Eligible expenses

The grant covers expenses related to the production and injection of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects.

  • Initial capital for upgrading or purchasing equipment and infrastructure construction or upgrades.
  • Installation of machinery and equipment.
  • Commissioning and calibration of machinery and equipment.
  • Land development for the project site.
  • Engineering work to finalize project design.
  • Professional fees.
  • Administrative or management fees, up to a maximum of 15% of eligible expenses.
  • Salaries and benefits.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Legal fees not directly related to the project, including disputes with the Ministry or litigation with suppliers or other stakeholders.
  • Municipal taxes, permit or authorization costs, and fines.
  • Project-related advertising expenses.
  • Meal and accommodation expenses.
  • Expenses listed as non-eligible under the program framework.

How to apply

Processing and Agreement

  • The application is evaluated by the Minister before the subsidy is accepted.
