Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a registered agricultural operation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Quebec (MAPAQ) according to the Regulation on the registration of agricultural operations.
  • The project must involve activities that encourage the adoption of best practices related to animal health, welfare, biosafety, veterinary telemedicine, or responsible medication use.
  • For collective projects, eligible applicants include educational institutions, non-profit organizations focused on agricultural knowledge transfer, animal health and welfare expertise centers, livestock associations, veterinary associations, veterinary establishments, and veterinarians.
  • The project must be carried out in Quebec and involve accompaniment or training activities led by a veterinary professional for individual or group participants.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare Application DocumentsDownload and complete the Financial Assistance Application Form.
  • Fill out the Project Cost Annex spreadsheet.
  • Step 2: Submit ApplicationEmail the completed application form and project cost annex to pisaq@mapaq.gouv.qc.ca.
  • Submit the documents before the deadline specified for the targeted sub-stream or until funds are exhausted.
  • Step 3: Confirmation and EvaluationYour application will be reviewed by representatives of the Ministry.
  • Complete applications that meet eligibility and project criteria will undergo an analysis process.

Additional information

  • Financial support may end earlier if available credits are exhausted, even before stated deadlines.
  • The financial support is paid directly to the veterinary establishment that performed the eligible activities on behalf of the applicant.
  • A penalty of 0.2% per day is applied for late submission of required veterinary reports for eligible activities.
  • Two transmissions of veterinary reports per month are allowed per veterinary establishment.
