Eligibility
- The applicant must be the City of Ottawa.
- The project must address policing and security within the Parliamentary District.
- The proposed initiative must align with the objectives of enhancing safety and security in the Parliamentary District.

- All companies, organizations, and industries other than the City of Ottawa are not eligible.
- Federal government departments and federal Crown corporations (such as the RCMP) are not eligible.
Eligible expenses
- Salaries, wages, overtime, and benefits directly linked to the project.
- Rent, utilities, set-up, modification, and maintenance of offices and buildings used for project purposes.
- Leased space for employees, assets, or goods specifically for project activities.
- Purchase or leasing, maintenance, and fuel costs for vehicles used in the project.
- Office equipment, program supplies, materials, and educational or outreach materials for project execution.
- Training costs, including development of training manuals and procedures.
- Professional and consulting fees directly related to project objectives, including preparation of audited financial statements.
- Computer services, library expenses, research costs, and subscription or data access fees related to project outcomes.
- Administrative expenses up to 15% of Public Safety funding, directly tied to project administration.
- Costs for purchase or upgrades of police equipment, technology, or services necessary to strengthen project capacity.
- Other extraordinary, reasonable, and justifiable policing costs, as approved by the Minister, necessary for additional public safety and security services within the scope of the project.

- The extent to which the project directly supports and advances the objectives and priorities of the PDPP.
- The amount of funding requested relative to available resources and whether proposed expenses are eligible and reasonable.
- The applicant's capacity to develop, implement, manage, monitor, document, and evaluate activities within the specified time frame and budget.
- The Minister’s previous experience in working with the applicant, including degree of collaboration and the history and success of past projects.
- Level of support from relevant stakeholders, including provincial/territorial governments, federal departments, agencies, and other partners.

- Ensure full disclosure of all funding sources and declare any defaults with the Government of Canada
