Documents Needed

  • Completed and signed EPRTNT 25-27 application form (PDF)
  • Complete project business plan, including required licences and permits list
  • Organization’s financial statements for the past two years (if required)
  • Three-year financial forecasts following project completion (if required)
  • Board or council resolution authorizing the funding request and project commitments

Eligibility

  • Be legally incorporated under Québec or Canadian law and operate in Québec
  • Belong to an eligible client category (tourism business, municipal entity, Indigenous community or tourism organization, or group of such clients)
  • Be up to date on commitments related to any previous public subsidies
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations for tourism accommodation, including registration where relevant
  • For nature and adventure tourism, meet or commit to meeting Aventure Écotourisme Québec Quality-Safety standards

Who is not eligible

  • State-owned enterprises
  • Ministries and agencies of the Québec and Canadian governments
  • Applicants listed in the Registre des entreprises non admissibles aux contrats publics (RENA)

Eligible expenses

  • Construction, rebuilding, expansion, development, adaptation, conversion or replacement of tourism infrastructure or equipment
  • Professional, technical and consulting fees for project design, engineering, management, monitoring and reporting
  • Project development work such as preliminary studies, business plans and eco-friendly development plans
  • Site and trail development, planning and enhancement, including surveying and quality control
  • Purchase and installation of specialized equipment, furniture, vessels, vehicles for visitor experience, land and rights of way, sustainable practice integration, eligible taxes and contingencies

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Purchase of a business and its infrastructure, or motorized transportation not dedicated to the visitor experience
  • Promotion and marketing, including website redesign and regular operating, maintenance, and administrative costs
  • Purchase of animals, administrative and retail equipment or materials, and storage space
  • Leasing of land, real estate or facilities, and financing, legal, working capital, debt service, or share buyback costs
  • Costs to bring the business up to standards or comply with bylaws, refundable portions of taxes, asset transfers, in-kind or donated contributions, lobbyist fees, and cost overruns
  • Services or work normally carried out by the recipient (e.g., regular maintenance, internal governance)
  • Costs incurred under contractual obligations signed before the funding request, except eligible project development fees

  • Feasibility, including timeline, business plan quality, promoter expertise and sustainable development integration

  • Step 1: Prepare Project Documentation
    • Develop a complete business plan and gather all required financial and supporting documents.
    • Obtain necessary resolutions, confirmations and certifications relevant to the organization and project.
  • Step 2: Complete Application Form
    • Fill out the Nunavik region EPRTNT 25-27 funding request form for the Attractions, Activities and Equipment category.
  • Step 3: Submit Application
    • Send the completed form and all required documents by email to marc@nunavik-tourism.com.

Additional information

  • The call for projects is open until all available funds are committed.
  • All funded projects must be completed by March 31, 2027.
  • Sustainable development measures with environmental, social, and economic benefits are required.
  • Nature and adventure tourism businesses must meet or commit to Aventure Écotourisme Québec Quality-Safety standards.
