This grant offers a structured financing framework to aid Canadian small and medium-sized businesses in leveraging and safeguarding their intellectual property through strategic actions. The framework is built around a three-level approach, each providing different types of support and resources.
- Level 1: Awareness level which provides access to a network of advisors, resources, and partner organizations to enhance IP knowledge.
- Level 2: Strategy level which grants access to IP experts to help develop an IP strategy aligned with business goals, and provides insights on technology and competitors.
- Level 3: Action level which offers funding specifically aimed at executing prioritized actions within the IP strategy.

This program aims to enhance the intellectual property (IP) capabilities of Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises through tailored advisory services and strategic funding. Eligible activities focus on increasing IP awareness, developing comprehensive IP strategies, and executing action plans to leverage innovations.
