Overview of the NBIF — CleanTech Accelerator Program program

NBIF, in partnership with Foresight Canada, offers New Brunswick startups a chance to participate in CleanTech Accelerator Programs for climate tech, CleanTech, or environmental sustainability solutions with no participation cost. Eligible activities include validation, launch and growth, and investor readiness programs, supported by mentorship and networking opportunities.

Financing terms and conditions

This grant offers a unique financing structure that provides comprehensive support to eligible startups without imposing direct costs for accelerator program participation.

Eligible projects & activities

The NBIF — CleanTech Accelerator Program is designed to support New Brunswick startups involved in climate tech, CleanTech, or environmental sustainability. Participants will access programs tailored to the validation, launch, and growth stages of their businesses.
  • Participation in Foresight’s CleanTech Accelerator Program for climate tech solutions.
  • Engagement in programs aimed at validating new CleanTech business models.
  • Support for launching and growing CleanTech startup projects.
  • Access to mentorship and venture support tailored to environmental sustainability innovations.

Eligibility criteria of the NBIF — CleanTech Accelerator Program program

Eligibility for this program requires that the applicant meet certain criteria specific to their business status and location.
  • The company must be a startup.
  • The company must be involved in commercializing a solution in climate tech, CleanTech, or environmental sustainability.
  • The company must be incorporated either in New Brunswick or nationally but based in New Brunswick.

This grant is focused on providing support to startups located within a specific region. Eligible companies must have a presence in the specified geographical area.
