Overview of the Market Development and Access program
Gain access to financial support to cover the costs of activities aimed at supporting industry efforts to access and take advantage of new, existing, and emerging market opportunities, from local farmers' markets to international markets.
Financing terms and conditions
This grant program provides financial assistance to encourage market development and access for food and beverage industries in New Brunswick. The financing modalities are structured to support eligible projects with shared funding responsibilities.
- Funding covers up to 50% of eligible project costs.
- There is a funding maximum of $15,000 per project.
- A combined maximum funding of $45,000 is available annually.
- Out-of-Province Per Diems are limited to specific durations with set daily rates for Canada, US, and international travel.
- Incoming buyer Per Diems are provided for up to 3 days at $100 CAD per day.

Eligibility criteria for the Market Development and Access Program are as follows:
- All food and beverages producers and processors in New Brunswick
- Agriculture, Aquaculture and Seafood producers and associations
- Agri-businesses, Aquaculture businesses and Seafood businesses not including food service enterprises such as restaurants and catering

Eligible applicants include all food and beverages producers and processors, along with agriculture, aquaculture, and seafood businesses, excluding food service enterprises such as restaurants and catering.
