Eligible expenses
- Salaries, overtime, and employee benefits for staff directly assigned to planning, deployment, and demobilization related to the event.
- Temporary rental of spaces (offices, warehouses, command centers, or detention processing centers) when internal facilities are insufficient.
- Rental of office, computer, or telecommunications equipment necessary for event management.
- Travel, accommodation, and meal expenses incurred during activities directly related to the event.
- Rental of vehicles and fuel costs for security operations.
- Purchase, rental, or setup of operational, telecommunications equipment, or supplies specifically required for the event when rental is not feasible or cost-effective.
- Fees for contractual services related to logistics, security, event management (e.g., additional police services or technical support).
- Messaging fees, transportation, and delivery of materials or documents related to security.
- Operational supplies for limited use (e.g., signage, disposable handcuffs).
- Administrative services and fees relating to the management and deployment of resources in the framework of the security operation, within certain limits.

How to apply
- Step 1: Designation of the Event
- Ensure that the Prime Minister has officially designated the event as a Major International Event eligible for financial assistance under the framework.
- Step 2: Engage with Public Safety Canada
- Contact Public Safety Canada to initiate engagement regarding the provision of financial assistance for the designated event.
