Overview

The Laurentides Tourism EPRTNT – Festivals and Events grant provides non-repayable financial support of up to $25,000 for festivals and events that stimulate regional tourism, encourage sustainable development, and attract significant visitor attendance. Eligible activities include the organization and staging of festivals or events, as well as initiatives aimed at their growth and development within the Laurentides region.

Financing terms and conditions

  • Non-repayable financial contribution covering up to 50% of eligible project costs for for-profit organizations, with a maximum funding limit of $25,000 per project.
  • Minimum eligible project costs must be at least $15,000.
  • Funding rates vary by applicant type: up to 80% of eligible costs for non-profit organizations, cooperatives, and municipal entities; up to 90% for Indigenous communities, organizations, or nations; and 50% for for-profit businesses.
  • The promoter's minimum financial contribution and cumulative government aid limitations apply, varying by applicant type as specified.

  • Organization and staging of a festival or event that attracts significant visitors to the Laurentides region.
  • Support for a specific aspect of a festival or event aimed at development or growth.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a legally constituted tourism enterprise, non-profit organization, cooperative, municipal entity, or an Indigenous community or organization operating in Quebec.
  • The applicant must operate within the Laurentides region and be involved in the organization or development of festivals or events.
  • The organization must respect all relevant provincial regulations and, if applicable, have complied with obligations stemming from previous grants.
  • Tourism accommodations must comply with current laws and possess a valid registration number, if applicable.
  • Nature and adventure tourism enterprises must adhere to, or be in the process of conforming to, the standards of the Qualité-Sécurité d’Aventure Écotourisme Québec program.

  • For-profit tourism organizations
  • Non-profit tourism organizations
  • Tourism cooperatives
  • Municipal entities (including municipalities, cities, towns, villages, etc.)
  • Recognized Indigenous communities, nations, and Indigenous tourism organizations or businesses

Who is not eligible

  • Government ministries and Crown corporations of Quebec or Canada.
  • Applicants listed on the Register of Enterprises Ineligible for Public Contracts (RENA).
  • Businesses not compliant with the francization process of the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF).

Eligible expenses

  • Administration costs directly related to the event.
  • Programming costs specific to the festival or event.
  • Promotion, marketing, and communication expenses for the event.
  • Site and facility management fees tied to event organization.
  • Costs of products intended for resale at the event.
  • Travel expenses not exceeding public sector standards, general expenses, and salaries and benefits of human resources linked to the event.
  • Audited sponsorships of goods and services (limited to 50% of total eligible costs).

  • Structural impact, such as project reach, ability to attract visitors, positive regional outcomes, and collaboration with partners.

  • Financial structure and project financing plan.
  • Relevance, including the appeal to a tourism-focused clientele, market potential, competitiveness, and partnerships.
  • Feasibility, including timeline, marketing strategy, business plan quality, and promoter expertise.
  • Integration of sustainable development principles.

  • Review eligibility and requirements before applying

Prepare the application and documents

  • Download and complete the EPRTNT 25-27 Festival and Events application form in Excel format
  • Gather all required supporting documents for submission

Submit the application

  • Submit the completed form and all required documents by email to eprtnt@laurentides.com
  • Ensure submission is before the deadline: Monday, December 15, 2025, 4:00 p.m.

Wait for evaluation results

  • The evaluation committee reviews all submitted applications
  • Applicants will receive a response in spring 2026

Additional information

  • Applications must include a signed and completed Excel form along with several supporting documents, such as financial statements and event programming.
  • If the applicant organization employs 25 or more people for a period of 6 months, proof of compliance with the Charter of the French Language is required.
  • Organizations receiving financial support of $100,000 or more and employing more than 100 people must commit to implementing an equal access employment program.
  • For nature and adventure tourism projects, documentation of compliance—or intent to comply—with the Qualité-Sécurité d’Aventure Écotourisme Québec standards must be provided.
