MRC La Jacques-Cartier — Young Promoters Fund (JP)

The Young Promoters Fund provides financial support to first-time entrepreneurs to foster job creation and business growth within MRC de La Jacques-Cartier. The financing is structured to support diverse stages of business development.

• Grants of up to $6,000 for a single promoter and up to $9,000 for two promoters or more.
• Specific funding allocations include up to $3,000 for project concretization studies, $6,000 for business creation, $1,000 for training, and $3,000 for succession planning.
• Applicants must provide a personal contribution amounting to 20% of the project cost or at least 50% of the grant received.
• Exceptions may be made to fund individuals over 35 years for business creation.

Eligibility for this grant is determined by specific requirements related to the entrepreneur's profile and business activities.

• The entrepreneur must be between the ages of 18 and 35, inclusively.
• The entrepreneur must be starting a first business or have been in business for less than 12 months.
• The entrepreneur must work full-time in the business.
• The business must create 2 jobs, or their equivalent, within 2 years of starting operations.
• The entrepreneur must provide a down payment equal to 20% of the project's cost or at least 50% of the Young Promoters subsidy.

Who is eligible?

Young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 who are in the process of starting their first business or have been in business for less than 12 months within the MRC de La Jacques-Cartier region. These entrepreneurs must commit to working full-time in their businesses and contribute to job creation.
