Eligibility
- The enterprise must be legally constituted and registered in the Registre des entreprises du Québec (REQ).
- The enterprise's primary activities must occur within the MRC de Montcalm territory.
- The enterprise must maintain its operations in the MRC de Montcalm for at least 24 months.
- The enterprise should demonstrate financial forecasts for the first three years indicating viability, profitability, and a reasonable salary for the entrepreneur.
- The enterprise must display originality and innovation, highlighting demand from the target clientele or a significant market opportunity.

- Working capital needed for project realization for up to two years, based on justified and reasonable expenses.
- Capital expenditures directly linked to the project, such as acquisition of technology, land, building, equipment, machinery, and rolling stock; as well as construction, expansion, renovation, and fitting out of land and premises.
- Professional fees prior to project realization like feasibility analysis, external audit, or impact study.
- Professional fees directly related to the project realization, such as technology, equipment, and machinery implementation, acquisition, construction, renovation, and fitting out of land and premises.
- Expenses for acquiring ownership shares or assets of the targeted company in entrepreneurial succession projects.
- Professional fees directly associated with the transaction, acquisition of business, and transfer of management in entrepreneurial succession projects.

How to apply

Eligibility check
- Make sure your business is registered with the Quebec Business Registry.
- Verify that your project is located within the territory of the MRC of Montcalm.
- Check that you meet all eligibility criteria to benefit from the fund (age, citizenship, etc.).

Preparation of the application file
- Develop a business plan that includes financial projections for the first three years.
- Develop a strategy demonstrating the originality, innovation, and viability of your project.
- Prepare a contribution equivalent to half of the amount of the financial assistance requested.

Submission of the application
- Gather all necessary documents proving your compliance with the fund's criteria.
- Contact the MRC of Montcalm or visit their website to obtain the application form.
- Send the completed form along with all required supporting documents to the MRC of Montcalm before the deadline.

Receipt of confirmation
- Wait for confirmation of receipt of your request by the MRC of Montcalm.
- Keep a record of all communications for future follow-up.
Additional information
- Financial aid from the MRC de Montcalm can be reconsidered and modified, including eligibility criteria, conditions, aid form, or priority areas, at any time by the MRC.
- Comprehensive evaluations of projects will be conducted based on the overall business potential, regardless of previously stated criteria.
- Projects must adhere to all relevant norms, laws, and regulations set by pertinent authorities.
- For all approved projects, a 24-month agreement protocol between the MRC and the business will be established.
- If the entrepreneur does not comply with the stipulated conditions in the agreement with MRC de Montcalm, the grant may be reclaimed. The reclamation amount is calculated using the formula: (granted subsidy) x (24 – months since grant approval) / 24 months.
- Non-repayable assistance from the Québec and Canadian governments or other organizations funded by these governments is counted at full value in the financial aid assessment.
