Selection criteria
- Alignment to sponsorship priorities, with additional consideration for proposals led by or including Indigenous organizations.
- History of the organization and event in Edmonton.
- Benefit to the Indigenous community and responsiveness to community needs.
- Details provided in the funding request, including the event budget, proposed recognition for the City, and event access (free events versus charging to attend or participate).
How to apply
- Check the intake period for your event.
- If you have more than one event in the same intake period, group them together and send one application.
- Submit the application through the City of Edmonton’s Community Investment Grant Portal.
- If you already have an account, log in with your username and password; if not, register for one.
- Do not email the application, as emailed submissions will not be accepted.
Processing and Agreement
- Funding is limited and applications may be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Once submitted, applications are final.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applications are reviewed and organizations are notified of the decision within 4 to 8 weeks.
- Within 90 days of completion of the event or initiative, successful applicants and any identified partners must report on event activities, alignment to sponsorship priorities, proof of recognition, and participant information.
