Eligibility

  • The applicant must be in good standing with the City of Edmonton (no outstanding reports and not in arrears on City of Edmonton accounts).
  • The applicant must be a non-profit organization registered for at least 1 year and in good standing with its incorporating body, or a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit community.
  • If applying as a local grassroots group, the applicant must have a fiscal agent that meets the eligible applicant category and can sign the funding agreement and manage reporting.
  • The initiative must be Indigenous-led and support healing and cultural revitalization and/or address the impacts of systemic inequalities.
  • The event or initiative must be held within the greater Edmonton area (with possible exceptions for cultural and ceremony purposes at the discretion of the Indigenous Relations Office).

  • Ensure the event/initiative will be held within the greater Edmonton area (exceptions may be made for cultural and ceremony purposes at the discretion of the Indigenous Relations Office)

Confirm applicant eligibility

  • Verify you are an eligible applicant (e.g., non-profit registered for at least 1 year, First Nations/Métis/Inuit community, or a grassroots group with an eligible fiscal agent)

  • Submit during the intake window: December 8, 2025 to February 18, 2026, or until funds are no longer available (first-come, first-served)
