The Environmental Stewardship and Climate Change Program supports the Agricultural sector in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate change by helping primary producers accelerate the adoption of priority beneficial management practices. To be eligible for this grant, you must be a farm or Mi'kmaq conducting farming activities in a Mi'kmaw community. Specific eligibility criteria include:
- Be currently and properly registered in the correct income category under the Farm Registration Act
- Have generated an annual eligible gross commodity income of at least $30,000
- Be at least 19 years old and actively farming in the program year
- Have a Premise ID, if you're a livestock producer

- Proven need for financial assistance to adopt beneficial management practices
- Demonstrated capacity to implement and maintain the proposed beneficial management practices
- Extent to which the proposed beneficial management practices contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and/or adapting to climate change impacts
